NOT ALL TOO WELL

“Holy shit! I just found these pages 4 years later while cleaning up, purging and packing up for my move out of the US. For good???

Canada is the next move, and here’s a start to a new chapter.

After reading ‘One for the Pages’, I can’t help but feel like a lot has changed, but nothing has changed at the same time. That might not make any sense at all, but here I am, leaving the states with a broken heart, but … a chance at a whole new life. One that I’m sure will be better for me.

Better for my career.

Better for my soul?

Better in the long run to finally end the handcuffs that have been put on me.

These handcuffs have been holding me back for a decade now.

It’s finally time to invest in a country that I can build a future, the way I want to. The best part is that I didn’t have to settle for marriage, and to someone that I know isn’t the right person for me.

Someone I’ve had to lose myself for and continue to lose myself.

Someone I can’t be proud to share.

Someone that would rather keep me a secret.

This by far has been the most complicated and emotionally straining relationship I’ve been in. I’m really an idiot for letting myself go back to him over and over again. “Like a drug”, both my words and his.”
