FEAR'S ABYSS

“Can I be both tired and excited?

When you’re a woman on her period who’s excited about life, it’s both a miracle and a mystery.

I want to feel so fearless.

I wonder what my life would look like if I were truly fearless.

Would I not care about what people think?

Would I tell people truly how I feel?

Would I reach the level of success I desire faster?

Would I already be there?

Or is my fear and anxiety protecting me from falling on my face?

In many ways, I think I’ve already fallen flat on my face.

So what am I afraid of losing?

What am I afraid is going to happen?

I don’t answer to religion, to my parents, to a boyfriend or husband, to an employer.

What the heck am I waiting for?

I guess a reawakening!
