Work Desk Contemplations

“You are in love.

That’s what I want to say to myself.

A part of me gets so excited to hear it, and a part of me hesitates.

I sit at my work desk staring outside trying to make sense of it all.

This feeling of love.

I truly thought I was in love with someone else many years ago.

Then a part of me felt like it happened again with someone else.

Being in love feels so special, untouchable, I transcend.

But this feeling I feel right now, is it love?

I want it to be.

I want to acknowledge this love for my existence.

I want love to be more than just falling in love with someone else.

I want to feel whole as I am right now.

I want to continue to experience this thing we call love everyday in the things I choose to do, the people I surround myself with.

I want to feel love with the state of my mind and inner thoughts.

I want love, and I want it for a lifetime.

Is this love?

I will keep asking myself this until I genuinely feel like it sticks and I believe that I am love.

Maybe then the search for love will not continue and the true living begins.”
